This is a transcription of something I wrote previously…

August 22nd, 2006

As I seat here, all alone, in the Leonardo DaVinci (Fuimicino) Airport, I look at the subset, the last one I will witness on this crusade through the beautiful European lands; the first of many, I hope.

Almost 12 hours away from departure and roughly 24 hours away from home, I face this beautiful sun, surrounded by the exquisite mixture of culture this airports presents.

It has been one month since I sat foot on this wonderland, but the memories are those of a lifetime and will hopefully last as long. I depart filled with the same excitement that I arrived with. However, I depart a new person. During this month I have died a thousand deaths and I have been reborn as many times; always in different forms… like the sun that just set with this tear that I shed.

The places I have seen, my hand cannot describe and any attempt of doing so from my part, would be quite unfair to the beauty of this land. I have seen how mighty the human hands can be, even though they will always be shadowed by the hand of the Mighty One.

Let reality, time, or life bust my bubble, but I leave convinced of the fact that a peaceful world can be accomplished. Blame my youth or my “wanna be” poetic soul, but when you are in an airport and see families, friends and lovers part, even when they cry, you see the beauty of life on a simple goodbye.

When you turn a corner and see people from all over the world, with different believes and traditions, be as amazed as you are with an impressive monument or a simple rock, you realize there isn’t such a thing as a grown up. And when you see couples in love, you understand we are all made out of flesh.

However none of this compares to the friends I’ve made, for them, I say a prayer and send them my best wishes. I desire for them nothing but the best, and I would like to thank them all for this life changing experience.

My regards to all…

Dedicate to all of those

that changed my life one way

or the other during those days.

Love to you all.
